ARRIVING IN SHANGHAI
When to arrive
It is suggested that every students arrive on the days of registration indicated on the Admission Notice. Try not to be ahead or late of schedule.
Some problems may be caused by coming too early: the apartment has not arranged enough rooms, the DISA is still on holiday and not able to accept regsitration. The most possible thing is that because of early entrance, the validity time of your visa is not enough for your study. There will be unnecessary troubles for you to apply for extension of your stay.
The office time for DISA is 8:00-11:00, 13:30-17:00, public holidays and school holidays excluded.
You would better arrive at the university in the office time of DISA so that on your arrival you can register. However, if you fail to arrive on time because of the flight timetable or other reasons, there is no need to worry. In that case, if you have successfully reserved a room in the dormitory, you can check-in at the general reception (24 hours on duty) of International Students Apratment and register on the next work day of DISA.
